My ears belong to Genesis

Found this lovely video of Francis Dunnery (One of my all time favourite guitarists - ex It Bites ).

Hope you like it

Definitely wouldn't have worked and good that Frankie recognised that.

Lol - I suspect Frankie was never gonna get the gig somehow ;o). Not sure he would have blended in - great guitarist though

Brilliant, I was lucky enough to se IB more than a few times back in the day, including a classic gig at a tiny little venue in MANSFIELD, NOTTS, and, on the same tour, at the Lyceum, >London: they were such a professional outfit that they, if anything, played better at the more low key gig, which was 100% faithful fans. Or maybe it just seemed that way cos it was up close & personal.

How typical of FD to take what is perhaps the most agressive number from TLLDOB and present it as a beautiful poingnant ballad. I always thought IB were more influenced by Yes though, Frank is probably still waiting for that call....

Not only was he influenced but he was asked to replace Phil Collins before Ray Wilson and turned it down.

nice one - I saw he was playing up there. Last time I saw him he had long blond hair and was playing more metal style. Interesting that he was influenced by Genesis

This also appears on his new album 'There's a whole new world out there'. I've just seen him playing it live tonight at South Shields, awesome performance!
