Thanks Tom for starting this thread. I too was devasted to learn the sad news of Richard's passing. Floyd is way up there on the list of my favorite bands, and it felt like losing an old friend although I'd never met the man. RIP Rick, you will be sorely missed. :(

Thanks for the post, Tom. I have just had a pretty great weekend & was pleased to see a note from you on my browser. This is really sad news, I was watching RW's performance on David Gilmour's 'Meltdown' a few weeks ago. The precise nature of his playing style just kept on improving with age. I am glad that the classic Floyd line-up had a chance to make their peace. For now, I'd just like to add my commiserations.
