When I bought Rick Wakeman´s first solo album "The Six Wives of Henry VIII" I spent hours looking at all those keyboards. All Progressive bands always presented a detailed list of instruments. I always wanted to exchange infos and photos about it.

Steve Hackett interview on gagliarchives.com

STEVE HACKETT - 01/27/2007

"Steve Hackett joined us to discuss his latest offering titled Wild Orchids. This was our review from the top 100 of 2006: Back in 1999, it seemed as if Steve Hackett had gone through a metamorphosis. Darktown in 1999 showed that Steve could not only rebound with a progressive rock album in a modern flair, but have it be quality both compositionally and sonically. Granted, his post releases of studio outings such as To Watch The Storms in 2003 and MetContinue

By the way, I remembered you these past weeks!
I've been listening a lot to Joni lately!!
And a bit of King Crimson too! I listened to Islands! I definitively love Formentera Lady and Prelude: Song Of The Gulls!!
As for Joni, I've been listening a lot to Hejira, Blue and Night Ride Home, WONDERFUL albums!!
Slouching Towards Bethlehem is just...Transcendental!
But all the songs in the albums are marvelous!!

Hi there, Peco!!!
How are you??
Oh, I'm awfully sorry that I took so long to reply to you! I've been really busy with tons of work from the cursinho lately!

Oh, thank you for your comment on the birthday card I made! I loved the impression you had out of it! It's actually a fair one! Like if in my vision Peter was an eternal child...! And I guess it's quite like that indeed!
Thank you!

Aw, thanks for the compliments! I'm flattered! I do my best because I enjoy our conversations!! It really amuses me to talk about the various subjects we do! I appreciate it that you thought of not disturbing me because of me not being available! Even though you wouldn't be disturbing at all!
And thank you very much for the encouragement!!
Even though I'm scarcely online now, I'll try to contact you every now and then too!
Hope you're doing great!!

All the best of luck with you projects too!!
Lots of Kisses and Hugs!!

Hello again!

Now to reply the second part of your comment! :)

Wow, what you describe about the Russian composers is really interesting!
Sometimes that happens to me too, to listen to something or see some picture of some spot or read something..And even though I don't have the memory of having been there, or having heard that or having read that in my mind...I clearly feel it...!!
Indeed does your spirit seem to have an ancient and experienced nature...!
You must be one interesting character! lol

I liked what you said about your relation with Buddhism very much!
You've expressed your feelings in such a lyrical way...!
...In my case, I don't feel a spiritual connection with it nor Japan or China nor any of these regions...
But when it comes to England...I loved what you said about your connection with it too, and it's just like the way I feel! About the country fields...!
It's something that transcends my rational comprehension and relates directly to my spirit...!

The other day I was having a look at some tourist guide book to England and it was full of pictures...
The more of them I saw, the more the sentiment of familiarity with them grew inside me...It was really mesmerizing!
Especially the landscapes in the Southwest of the country...The moors, the woods, the country pastures and green fields...I really felt like I had been there before somewhen, as if I belonged there...It's fantastic, these feelings that come from the subconsicous, it'slike they've been there all along and they come to the surfaces when you get in touch with yourself, with what relates to you and is part of you again...!

They're really way too deep and spiritual impressions to be expressed in words fairly...!

Hi there!

In the moment I'm actually kind of busy for I STILL have to finish Peter's birthday card, and yeah, I know, his birthday has already past!
But, Lord! Is it giving me some trouble to finish it...!
Well, anyway, so I'll respond to your comment bit by bit!

You're right! I've got one bizarre family, not just in this matter, but in almost all matters...! lol

That might indeed be a good point for discussion, there must be many other foreign souls trapped in bodies all around...! lol

Oh, I see, so you're like an ancient collection of spirits forming one soul...! :p
You know, as a matter of fact, I do indeed feel somewhat unplugged from this world all around me sometimes...Especially when dusk descends and my spirit beginns to ascend...It's really a funny experience, I guess my soul ain't really a so old spirit, but I don't feel like it's thus young too, I must have had some previous livings 'here' or 'there' or somewhere before...But I'm still not quite used to life 'here'!

More later... lol

Hello!

Oh, you know, my sister knows a bit of Japanese!
I've got a strange family! As it seems, I'm a British spirit trapped in a Brazilian body, whereas my sister is a Japanese spirit trapped in a Brazilian body...!
lol
She's just mad about anything related to Japan!
She loves manga, anime, Japanese live actions and soapoperas...And the whole culture, the language, the sign writing...And Japanese men too! *what I'll definitively never understand...! :p*
Just as it's with me and GB, it is her with Japan...! :p
I did know how to write my name in Japanese signs, but I forgot it!
I know there is more than one alphabet in Japanese language too, the Kanjis, Katakana and Hiragana too...It's a complex language! lol

Yes, I'd like to learn both French and Italian, I find the two languages very beautiful!
You know something funny, I like the way Italians speak making gestures, actually I quite simpathize with it, I guess it's an ancient inheritance I got from my mother's family, that came from Italy and Portugal, because I can't help gesticulating a lot when I'm speaking...! :p
My father and sister frequently tell me to calm down when I start to get too much excited, ( what happens pretty much all the time) because they say besides my speaking being in a too loud and enthusiastic tune, I seem to gesticulate frenetically...
And I also have a Portuguese kink, I'm always saying "Ai, Jesus!" all the time!
LOL

You know something I find very interesting too?
The origins and meanings of names!
Like my name for instance, I found out two meanings for it. It comes from Latin, and it may mean "person with beautiful hair" and also, and I guess a more reliable meaning, "person of eternal youth"...I guess my name does matches with me afterall...! ;P

I've been checking out PG's official site regularly, but so far only the dates in Mexico, Chile, Peru and Argentina have been confirmed...!
But I'm crossing my fingers to see the dates in Brazil confirmed! *___________*
I have searched in the internet for information too, but I haven't found any definitive anouncement about his coming, only rumours...!
Well, but I guess that when he confirmes dates here, it'll be widely broadcasted, right?
Till then, let's hope and pray for it! :p

Oh, how nice!
I wish I had an "official" nickname!
Huahuahuahuahuahua!
But people usually call me simply Julia, or at most Julinha, Juju...
But when I was little my parents used to call me Juju Balagandã (don't ask me what the hell that means, 'cause I have absolutely no idea! lol) and sometimes my mother would call me Julieta just to make me cross, I don't know why but I got mad when some one called me that way!
Nonsensical! :p
And one funny nickname my father gave me was Caju!
Which I like, because I love fruits, and Cashew is one of my favourites!

Well, have a good week! :D

Kisses!

Hi there!

Hey! You know, you're totally right!
I haven't thought of it, but the way you put it, it makes all the sense!
Early Genesis is all about GB's spirit...So even when it's unsconsciouly, those who like their 70ies music indeed also have some connection with GB's whole atmosphere...!
That would really make an interesting discussion topic! :)

I've heard of it already too, I guess at school perhaps...Well, but I haven't put it at proof yet, I haven't learned a fourth language, I'd like to learn French though... =)
I bet you would enjoy it very much! To learn German! :)
But of course, whenever you find enough time to. When you do, let me know about it! Pehaps I could give you a hand on the matter...!

Yes, I do indeed. The diversity of languages, their ancient origins, the way the speaking and writing of them was conceived...And all that relates to communication, fascinates me!

Oh and about PG's South America Tour, I don't have a lot of information about it either! Unfortunately!
All I know is that his three first concert days in Mexico were set in his official site, and I know from Pato that he's coming to Argentina too...
I'm checking for news about it in Brasil, there are rumours about his coming in March, but nothing has been confirmed yet...!
Well, if anything new comes up I'll let you know for sure!!
Afterall, it's a lifetime's opportunity, imagine it, to watch PG performing live!! xDDD

Aww, thank you for the sweet words!
It's a great pleasure to talk to you to! ;D
Apologies entirely accepted!
Don't worry about it, at all! Take your time to answer me! =)

...Oh your nickname is peco?? What is it after?? ;p *if you don't mind me asking*

A Kiss & A Hug! ;P
See you later

Hello!!

It's ok, I may be a bit slow sometimes to dig things...! :p

That's nice!
Well, just about everything related to GB has always captivated me deeply!
Hm, I guess some people around here may have this same feeling, but I guess not all...Some may only like Genesis a lot, not necessarily having an eager interest in GB...But maybe I'm wrong! I'd have to talk about it with most people here to find out. But it might be a good idea for a discussion topic, don't you think?
It's an interesting point! =)

Yeah! That's exactly what I said!
Sorry, after I'd written it it came across my mind that you didn't necessarily have to understand that! Sorry! :p
But I like English much better than German, I mean, I have a much stronger connection with English than with German....I like it to though, even thoug I'm confident I speak and understand much more of English!
I like Italian! It's a very nice language!
Oh, and French is BEAUTIFUL!!
Not so beautiful as English sounds to me *;P*, but still!
German is a bit "trickier" than English, but it's not particullary such a difficult language! Why don't you give it a try?? I'm sure you could learn it perfectly if you want to! :D

"I like languages, verbal and non-verbal... I love all things related to communication in general. I like to know how words are formed, created, modified and adapted into other languages through time.. that's fascinating! though Music is by far the most amazing language on earth."
Loved what you said here! I swear I feel the same way, I couldn't word it better than you have!!
It's just amazing how many similarities Im finding out we have with eah other through these conversations! ;DD
That's so nice!!

Hall & Oates?? You think his "Sacred Songs" is alike his duet work with Oates? Hm, I haven't listened to them either, but if you say you don't like them much, I guess I wouldn't like them as well....Are they good?

Oh, yes! I lover her! She's doubtlessly one of my top ten artists too! :DD
I have to check out "Woman of Heart & Mind" you recommended me!!

Indeed...Why Peter....???!
Heheheh...! I guess Joni is the sly one here! lol
Kidding!
Well, I don't know about details, but I guess she asked Peter to do it simply because Peter's got an amazing male voice, and in my opinion, it matches just sooo perfectly with Joni's!! ;DDD

Ah, and I was willing to ask you, do you know about PG's South America Tour in March???
I'm just SOOOO EXCITED about it!!!!
The only dates confirmed yet are the ones he'll be performing in Mexico, and I know that he'll come to Argentina too!
So I'm praying and hoping that he'll come to Brazil!!!
He MUST come!!! *___________________________*

Kisses & Hugs!! :DDD
