About Me:
Ever since I was little, I've only been familiar with Genesis when I heard them on the radio. I became a Genesis fan when I saw them being honored on the 2007 VH1 Rock Honors Special. I've got some of their CDs (and a few LPs thanks to some shopping at the flea market!) and I've even purchased some of Phil and Peter's solo music. What else can I say? I'm TOTALLY addicted to Genesis!!!!

For the favorite Genesis album part below, my main favorites are "Selling England by the Pound", "A Trick of the Tail", "Abacab", and "Genesis." But there's things about each album I like, so I chose them all except "Foxtrot" because I don't own that one yet (the songs are on the playlist, though.) Having a hard time finding it in the stores, but I will!

Lauren's Little Tribute Section

There's no doubt about it that I love ALL the guys from Genesis. But there is one member that I hold near and dear to my heart. I've heard his music since I was very little but didn't realize how much his music (um...and him) meant to me until recently. I think this video I found sums it up nicely.

P.P.S. Speaking of "serious", my dad bought the "...But Seriously" album when I was a year old, and told me he used to remember me singing along to "Another Day in Paradise", especially the "Oh, think twice" chorus. I don't remember that. The horn section from "Something Happened on the Way to Heaven" stuck out in my mind for a long time before my dad recently found the album and I listened to it for the first time in a long time. So I've been listening to Phil for almost my entire life. No wonder I think he's so special! :D

HOLY COW!!! I HIT THE MUSICAL JACKPOT TODAY!!!

What's up my GC peeps? Hope you're having a great weekend so far!

Last night Tropical Storm Hanna hit NC with heavy rain. This morning, it was still raining, though the storm started passing through. The news showed areas that were flooded and some trees were down, but there were no serious injuries nor any serious damage, thank goodness. And it ended up being sunny and pleasant for the rest of the day.

A New Job on the Horizon?

Hey everybody! Hope things are going well! My life will probably be taking a pretty important turn soon. I go to a community college in my hometown and I'm majoring in paralegal technology. A Strange Dream... and What it May Mean

Some people here on the GC site have had dreams about Genesis. I've never been that lucky, but a couple nights ago, I had a dream about Phil! It was pretty bizarre. And oh yea, I forgot to mention that Whose Line seems to come on at random days. But lately it seems the episodes have been coming on on Thurs & Fri mornings. I have DVR so I just record it :)

Well, I grew up watching the US version, so that's probably my favourite. But when the UK version came on BBC (I think it was on BBC too) I watched it. My friend has season 1 and she doesn't even watch it, so I'm going to try and get her to give it to me (haha!!). The US version comes on ABCFM from 12-1 AM (well at least where I live) just in case you didn't already know (:
