HUGE Genesis fan since 1978 when i was in high school. First Genesis album... Trick of the Tale. Made it to several of their turn it on again shows from New York to LA. Also saw several shows of the Musical Box in 2006.
Seconds Out is perpetually ready to be played in my car cassette since 2000, no cd player in my car.
Biggest Genesis fan regret... not staying for the second~ added hollywood bowl show in Oct. 2007. i attended the previous nites show at the bowl which was the best musical experience of my life. i regret not going to the rome show, too. la stupia!!!!!
Greatest Genesis experience... hearing & seeing afterglow played in the rain at the hollywood bowl in 2007. tony bank's keyboards were practically sparking and they set off fireworks, not bank's keyboards... but pyrotonics (it was still raining) CRAZY moment. it was an all encompassing sensual experience.
Always loved Peter Gabriel's solo music, starting following Steve Hackett's solo tunes in the last few years.
Biggest blessing in life... that's ez, my children.
i very much believe in God. that i know for sure.
Genesis is:
The greatest band
My first Genesis show was...
Forest HIlls, New York 1980 something.
Favourite Genesis album
Nursery Cryme, Foxtrot, Selling England by the Pound, The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, A Trick of the Tail, Wind & Wuthering, And Then There Were Three, Duke
The Genesis soundboard I'd most like to hear is....
Hey Joan - I had to laugh about you having Seconds Out ready to go....I thought I was the only one that would play over and over the same tunes...Must be a Genesis thing Pete
Well you could always marry me then! But hang on, there's a dirty great puddle in the way. I believe they call it the Atlantic. I still have my own teeth by the way, now where did I leave them?
Hi there Joan. I happened upon your page after being invited to join the Musical Box Group by Mike. I notice you went to the same Hollywood Bowl shindig as I did. 5500 miles from home in Coventry, UK and the lady I went with had told me "It never rains in California!" - never gonna listen to her again!! All told though, it was a magical night even though they couldn't finish the show. It did once again something that Genesis have always done with their audiences, brought everyone together and on the same playing field. They did so well to weather the storm and get as far as they did. Check out my photos from the show. That was show number 39 over the years for me and I REALLY hope it won't be the last!
