What all of the above suggests, for me at least, is that from the get go Genesis were a consumate band. Their continued survival obviously owes more to Tony & Mike as they have been permanent fixtures, but at every stage of the process the sum was...

Brilliant, I was lucky enough to se IB more than a few times back in the day, including a classic gig at a tiny little venue in MANSFIELD, NOTTS, and, on the same tour, at the Lyceum, >London: they were such a professional outfit that they, if any...

Profile Information

Relationship Status:
Married
About Me:
I am a man of very few words: a long-time fan of the band in all of its various incarnations, However, I am still hoping / waiting for the classic line up re-union; c. The Lamb. Although, I suppose the best possible [for me] show would be along the lines of the 1991 Yes Union tour which featured all, or at least most, of the Yes-Men past and present. I was lucky enough to catch the show in Birmingham, England.

A similar show from Genesis [6 of the best aside] would certainly be interesting and could also possibly feature some takes on the band members' various solo projects and, as such, potentially form the basis of an album worth the promotional function of touring. It would definitely be a challenge and the prospect of a properly rehearsed line up featuring all personnel, including Ant etc. would present the chance to outdo all previous offerings and deliver the long awaited definitive Genesis album.

But to get back to the point, I am married with two teenage kids and music forms a large part in all of our lives. My son and I are both active musicians and fans of Genesis and my wife and daughter would certainly be up for the above mooted re-union/album/tour.

My musical taste is extremely varied and is partially reflected in the shows that my band, Midlife Krisis, put on. We are a bunch of guys who have been playing together off and on for well over a decade. Currently, we play pubs in the East Midlands region of England. We are all in full-time employment: the band gives us the opportunity to play the kind of music we grew up listening to for audiences that usually include at least some who missed out on the 60s and 70s, when, arguably, Brittania ruled the airwaves and concert venues of the world. Please forgive the jingoism.

I now also keep the local natives happy as 50% a full-on acoustic duo entitled Old Money: the name reflects our elitist background, mercenary attitude & self-centered outlook [I don't think!]

I can remember growing up as the Beatles, Stones, Zep, The Who, Kinks, Faces, Pistols, Clash, Police, XTC, Damned and Ian Dury, to name just a few of many great UK artists, established themselves in varying degrees, and consequently feeling almost as proud to be British as my study of our martial and social history often made me feel ashamed. I Still think this country is the best place for developing talent; because of its size, you can get to any location in well under a day. It stands to reason that for any working band, the potential is tremendous. By the same token, nationwide, audiences have come to expect the best, and why not?

I first came to Genesis relatively late, at the age of fifteen, when a schoolfriend aquired all of the albums up to and including The Lamb from a guy who was going to university and [inexplicably, to us] sold his entire Genesis collection. It was like discovering hidden treasure and from that moment I was hooked.

I hope that a 100 years from now, more people will know and appreciate who John Lennon was; as opposed to any war mongering politician of the 19th, 20th or early 21st century. By any standards worth noting, Lennon was a prophet & deserves to be venerated in the same manner that Bach, Mozart, or Ghandi are now; as an artistic and social visionary, years ahead of his time,

Probably, 100 years on as it were, the Holographic Stones will still be performing killer shows; direct from their various Artificial Intelligence sites; having donated what remains of their collective egos to science.

And somewhere, no doubt, a bunch of die hard fans will still be swapping their Genesis bootlegs and crying over their pints of warm beer about being born 90 years too late to miss out on the legendary Genesis re-union tour...

If you have manged to wade through all of the above garbage I have only one question to ask: why?

Hello, hello! =)

How's life going?
Hope fine! :)

Sorry that it took me so long to reply to your comment...! =/

So, were you able to solve the disc format issue and upload the PG on the Xmas Special video yet?
If you have you must tell me! I'm rather anxious to watch it in great quality! xp

Hehe! Indeed I sometimes come to the conclusion that having a younger brother who actually can be rather a noisy and annoying presence hovering all around me and my sister or else running around making a mess all over the house *But don't get me wrong, I do LOVE the little devil! :P* , does have its conveniences! For instance, having a mini expert on all computer and technological devices at home! I just don't know how, but Gabriel *my brother* really gets along very well with all these stuff...! :)
I know he intends to become an engineer too, clear!

I guess it wouldn't be much of a problem if you managed to upload it in two videos, once its in very good quality and displays the whole performance! =)

Oh! I wonder what is this "description defiant PG and KB performance" like...?
Is it by any chance their performance of "Another Day" from Kate's album Misc...??? :p

Well, a good week to you, friend! :)
Kisses!

Hi there! :)

Oh! I believe I know the version you refer to, it is the "Here comes the Flood" Gabriel performed on that Xmas special with Kate 1979, right?
I've seen it on youtube, though in poor quality, it's wonderful indeed! :)
I haven't seen it around here though...
Did you manage to upload it?
I wish I cold help you with that but unfortunately I must say that I'm an ignorant on computer and downloading and uploading matters...!
Whenever I have to deal with this stuff I have to ask my brother who is 12 for help...! :P

Pardon me for having taken that long to answer, but I've been busy with school lately, sorry! :/

Well, have a great week my friend! :)

Kiss!
