I think all of them equally are great, especially as songwriters. I will agree though that Tony Banks is the sound of Genesis and seems to have a lot of say, especially on this past tour.He usually would be the one to reel the rest in and pull the i…
I´m with you... and remeber all the members of the band are composers too! Tony Banks is a great musician but he´s not the "man" here... Steve Hackett, Peter Gabriel are great musicians too! and amazing composers; Phill Collins have great songs and…
Wow... I don't know. But to me Peter Gabriel in the early years had a great influence like Tony in all the phases of the band. Steve Hackett too; when he´d left the band the total concept and sound of the band changed totally. Maybe each member had…
To me, Tony Banks is the backbone of the Genesis sound and perhaps the only link (musically speaking) in between the various eras of the band. I think without him there would have not being any lengthy instrumentals in the albums to speak of. If he…
I have to agree with most. Mr. Banks! Genesis is very keyboard driven music, especially in later years. He was there at its inception and is definatley more noticable than Mike Rutherford.
Selling England by the Pound, The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, A Trick of the Tail, Wind & Wuthering, And Then There Were Three, Duke, Abacab, Genesis, Invisible Touch, We Can't Dance, Calling All Stations

Hi Everybody!!
I´m a Genesis fan since the We can´t dance tour´92, I was 14 by that time, it was funny cause i already knew Phil Collins music and I liked a lot, I knew some Genesis songs, but I thought it was Phil Collins songs.
In 1992 in July, my brother was in the army, in Lisbon, and he invite me to go to Lisbon one weekend, that he was brought 2 tickets to the concert, I was no idea what I going to see, I never will forget, the stadium full (60 000) and the concert begins with Land of Confusion and FREEZE I was amazed with that sound I never listen before, so it was the way I became a Big Genesis Fan.
