Ahh memories.. I had tons of bootlegs, given over to me by my cousins and a few that were given to me from other resources..
Sadly, I lost them all when the idiot I was married to,..well it was his fault I'd lost them.. I'd like to get some copies.. but I'd better wait for the boardtapes.. at least the quality will be better..

Hi all,

I don't know if you're aware of it but there are literally hundreds of boots available to download at the DC++ Genesis Hub.

Just download the client here: http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/
Then point it to: genesishub.myvnc.com:4111

The hub also has some Genesis recordings that are not available to The Movement. ;)

Best,

dR

ps - I never have any problems with torrenting at all. If it's seeded OK I can download a whole 4.5gb DVD in an hour or so and can up it as quickly. It's very rare that I have to wait that long for a download. (Make sure you're 'portforwarded' OK. Failing to do so will slow you down considerably!)

I wasn't invited but here I am anyway !

I'm new to collecting bootlegs and suffer from very slow download speeds in Bahrain. I've been using the movement but it's taking me forever to download a complete show ! Anyone got Manchester Free Trade Hall (my first Genesis show) from January '77 they could send me ? Naturally costs will be paid !

Delete Comment It's a pleasure to be here and thanks for the invitation! This is a great way to discuss and even trade. I'm very upset because I have a cdr of the unrealeased "Live" album with Supper's Ready and some alternate performances of a couple of the other songs and it DOESN'T PLAY ANYMORE!!!! Does ANYONE have this because I have to get this again! PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!!!! lol It really is one of the most sought after things in the Genesis catalogue. It's not the Dutch test pressing but it might as well be.

I believe Tom Morgenstern put out a nice re-mastered version of the test press -- unfortunately, I don't have it. I put out a re-mastered one as well and the sound would have been quite good, except for the needle/vinyl noise...

Thanks for the invite tremendously. Just listened to the 72 Coastliners show the other day. Sound quality is awful, but at least Harold the Barrel is on there. There's also another song that I don't recognize. Is this the famous Twilight Alehouse that I have never heard?

Welcome sadcaver.

I haven't listened to the Highland 'Coastliners' recording in ages, but from what I can recall, the SQ does leave a bit to be desired. One thing this recording is missing, from the early show of 8.20.72 Viareggio is the Harold the Barrel encore, which appears on a better version in the form of 1st generation, from the 1st gig.
