Hi Sluber...i got into the band just before w&w (which still remains my favorite album) and soon found what a stunning back catalogue they had,by the end of '77 i'd brought all the previous albums and couldn't believe there was so much wonderful music out there i hadn't discovered. When they announced Peter would rejoin for the milton keynes gig it really was like the 2nd coming for me and my (then) gf who was also a massive fan,the build up to the day was so exciting and despite the weather (who does an open air gig in October!!!) it was an amazing experience and one i'm fearing will never be repeated unless they very soon get this 'lamb' project off the ground.

I remember the day well...rained all day...support acts were awful...but when the band came on and gabriel came out of the coffin it was all worthwhile...and the the best bit for me was when a certain Mr Hackett arrived on stage and the famous 5 were truly re-united...never to be forgotten!

Great day for free food... as it flew past for TT

Hiya Dave

pps
Put it this way did any of us notice once they carried that coffin on to the beat of BINYC

I know a few of us would suffer that weather and more, if it ever happened again, even if we knew beforehand :)

Thanks for sharing the ticket Tom. Gawd was the price only £10 when bought on the day. Ohhhh to be able to buy a ticket to see Genesis on the day of the gig now.

Here is a link to the Genesis Museum site that has pics and contibutions from the band

Great day, but not the greatest ticket design - highly absorbent cardboard with no perforated strip!
I doubt anything will top the audience's reaction to "It's been a long, long time... hasn't it?" Total spine shivers. Oh to do it one more time eh?
