Fading Lights used to have me in tears every time. Ripples too - but it was Afterglow that really got to me, hearing it live, last year.

For me it's Cul-de-Sac

Wow, there's a lot to choose from, dating all the way back to songs like "That's Me", "Dusk" and "Twilight Alehouse". In fact, I might have to choose "Dusk"

But wait, on the horizon
A new dawn seems to be rising
Never to recall this passer-by, born to die.

I'd say "Blood on the rooftops"... And it's one of my favourite songs too...

Rapid and Ripples .....good choices various songs throughout the catalouge are more meloncholy than outright sad....Id have to say for me Fading lights its the most outright sad song by the band

For me, "its silent sorrow in empty boats".As an instumental,it just sounds sad to me.

For me it's Ripples, Afterglow and Fading Lights. There are others that bring me to tears but not the sad kind. These 3 buggers are sad to me.

Well ,they have so many ,let said the song Am i Very Wrong

"Ripples" has a melancholy feel to it that is at once irresistable and moving, and also sad.
Now if we use the term "Sad" as in their saddest display of a song, then the crown goes to "Illegal Alien"
