Favourite Genesis Song And Reason Why?

Following up the favourite album thread I thought i'd start this because i'd love to hear peoples opinions and reasons why that particular song or songs are each persons favourite. You can have several song or you can just have one it's up to you.

For me it would have to be Afterglow - it holds so many emotions which are personal to me, it reminds me of some amazing times and some really bad times but it's always carried me through and I seem to just love it more and more each listen.

My favorite Genesis song is actually "Behind The Lines" but then I'd feel bad to leave "I'd rather be you," "In The Cage," "Feeding The Fire" and "That's all" as close 2nds...

I love Afterglow too for that very same reason... but "Dancing with the moonlit Knight" reminds me of car journeys witht eh kids with us all singing at the tops of our voices.. (yeah the kids know this song by heart too lol)...always makes me smile to hear it....though there are lots of memorys with various songs.. this one just a good memory :)

Has To be Suppers ready foxtrot was the first album i bought and the teenage memories always flood back when i listen to it. followed very closely by Firth of the fifth and Los endos Sends shivers down my spine when i hear the guitar solos and Tony the magician Banks keyboard wizardry.

Too many to choose from aren't there. Well, I would say that it would have to be Aftreglow but that said, I'm really still moved by Fading Lights, it still gets me every time I hear it.

I think I'd have to pick my fave's off the albums rather than one fave cuz there's too many.

Has to be Afterglow for me ...simple reason is i heard it live for the first time at Wembley Stadium in July 1987 and after that just loved it , went to Manchester last year to see them and when they played it the tears were rolling down my face ....just one of those songs that gets you deep down ...amazing
